With his parents, Les and Muriel, Rex Wotton ran the West Coast Watersports center at Coral Reef hotel. It was only a short walk from Settlers Beach. The shop took hotel guest diving and on daytime and sunset cruises around the coast. He was a professional seafarer trained by the Royal Merchant Navy in navigation, and marine work. Rex Wotton was one of the most unforgettable Rogues you would ever meet. He had a woderful sense of fun and used it to win over every situation.
Sailing to St. Vincent with a friend at just 11 years old affirms to his sense of adventure. He invited others to join him in high jinks and outrageous adventures, making it all appear safe, easy, and a joy. Generally reckless, he took extraordinary yet considered risks.
